Getting your child to sleep through the night can be a complicated operation, but it doesn't have to be! I've worked with lots of families who have seen huge improvements in one or two nights just by following a few simple strategies. I'm laying them out for you here today, so you can start changing things as early as tonight!
Although we're all anxious for our babies (and ourselves!) to start sleeping straight through the night, you're probably going to have to get up for a feed at least once or twice a night until they hit about 6 months old. But that doesn't meant you can't start teaching them some quality skills. Today, we've got some tips on instilling some great habits to your newborn that will lead to better nights and longer, happier sleep down the road.
Teaching quality sleep skills is, in my opinion, the greatest gift we can offer our children. In today's society, we're constantly ignoring our sleep in favor of other obligations, and it's taking its toll on our health and well being. I believe we can change this attitude and re-establish sleep as a priority in our younger generation, and it all starts with teaching them some solid sleep skills in their youth.
