North Americans have developed a strange attitude towards sleep over the years, adopting slogans like, "Sleep is for the weak!" and "I'll sleep when I'm dead!" which are somehow supposed to demonstrate ambition and determination, and not a blatant disregard for their health.

The truth is, sleep is not some luxury that we can indulge in only when we've got the time. This pessimistic view towards an essential element of our health regimen is leaving a lot of people running on a perpetually empty tank, ready to drop as soon as their caffeine supply is interrupted.

So how much sleep do we really need, and how can we make it a priority while still maintaining our hectic schedules? That's what I'm talking about today, and I've got some very practical, effective answers for you!
